Claremont Receives $1.5M Grant for a New Playground

As part of a STEM class project, Ms. Teuhaft-Ali and her students worked with a UofC professor of architecture to design a new outdoor play space and learning lab. The university students and Claremont students visited outdoor spaces around the city, then designed and built prototypes of the space.

After the project, the teachers applied for a grant through the Chicago Works Community Challenge to bring this class project to life and of the 500+ applications, we won one of the seven grants!
